STAMICO BOARD OF DIRECTORS STARTED A TWO-DAYS VISIT AT TANZANITEONE MINING LIMITED
STAMICO’s Board Directors has yesterday started a two-day visit to TanzaniteOne Mining Limited (TML), which is based at Mirerani, Simanjiro District in Manyara Region.
This familiarization visit will provide an opportunity to the new STAMICO Board Members to learn about Tanzanite mine operations, sorting procedures, monitoring and evaluation strategies. The Board will finally be briefed on the challenges facing the mine and discuss the solutions. The visit will concluded today, 25 August 2016.

STAMICO Board Members in a group photo at the TML’s underground mine. STAMICO Ag. Managing Director Zena Kongoi, took the lead in sharing her practical experiences on Tanzanite Mining. Naturally formed Tanzanite is extremely rare and is endemic only to the Mirerani Hills in Tanzania.

While at the Mine, the Board Directors will visit CT Shaft; Underground Mine; Sort House where Tanzanite gemstones are processed and the Export Processing Zone (EPZ). STAMICO owns the mine jointly with TanzaniteOne in an equal share of 50 percent.
